When you use BillBetter, we ask for your postcode to find energy plans from available retailers. We do not store your postcode after your session ends. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any account details.

We collect anonymous usage analytics via PostHog to understand how people use the site (e.g. which pages are visited, how long sessions last). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

How your postcode is used

Cookies and analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous analytics data. This helps us improve the site. No personally identifiable information is included in this data. You can opt out of analytics tracking by using a browser with tracking protection enabled.

Affiliate commissions

BillBetter earns a commission when you switch energy plans through our site. This is paid by the retailer or our comparison partner CIMET via Commission Factory. Commission is never paid by you and does not affect the plans or pricing you see.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you.
